Woodbury – On May 22, the fifth annual Pink Tie event took place on Long Island and it was a massive success all around. It was held at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
According to local news channel News 12, “Long Islanders raised big bucks for the star-studded event in Woodbury.” The news station subsequently noted that there were 2,500 people in attendance, and the proceeds from the Pink Tie GALA benefit cancer research the Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation in particular. News 12 shared that this year’s Pink Tie event “raised half a million dollars, and counting, for cancer research.”
On the pink carpet, Pink Tie founder Mike Cave remarked, “It is very humbling and it shows how big of a heart everybody on Long Island has cause they want to give back, and they want to do good, and they want to grow their business through giving back.”
Most of the attendees were wearing pink ties, as well as pink outfits (for the ladies), and Pink Tie is regarded as one of Long Island’s largest annual fundraisers. Idea Stream Marketing, under the leadership of president and founder Dean Spinato, served as their official marketing partner.
This year, Scott Stapp from the Grammy-winning rock group Creed provided the musical entertainment, and the review of his show may be seen here on Digital Journal.
