It’s always a fun project when we get to create branding for local community events, especially ones that have a charitable component. This is why we were excited to create the logo and launch the website for The First Annual Commack Day, a community event uniting families, alumni, and business owners for a day of fun with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Commack Fire Department.

In order to embody the spirit of the Commack community, we utilized their black and gold colors in the logo. However, we wanted to make sure the overall appearance of the website portrayed a family-friendly outdoor event so we utilized brighter colors throughout. Additionally, we incorporated photos of families enjoying themselves outdoors to embody the tone of the event.

We organized the information on the website so that site visitors had multiple places where they can purchase tickets, donate, and learn more about the event. This creates a seamless user experience encouraging site visitors to purchase tickets or a make donation. We also ensured that it was stated frequently throughout the site that a portion of the proceeds will go to the Commack Fire Department so people know that their attendance will benefit their community.

As a site visitor scrolls through the website they will also find vendors and entertainment for the day so they have a better understanding of what to expect if they choose to attend the event. They are also offered a button, which will allow them to apply to become a vendor if they are interested in contributing to the event.
