November 13, 2017On Saturday November 11th, 2017 Chocolate Works located at 371 South Oyster Bay Road in Plainview, NY will be officially opening its doors. In celebration of the grand opening, Idea Stream Marketing and Chocolate Works Plainview are inviting the public to enjoy delicious treats and hang out with our guests of honor such as Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor – Joe Saladino with live on-air streaming on radio station – 98.3 KJoy.
Although this event is about having fun and indulging in delicious candy and treats, it will also benefit an amazing cause that the community will be proud to contribute to. The Fisher House Foundation is best known for their network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment, with a daily capacity of 970 families, this amazing foundation has been able to help more than 28,000 families in 2016. The Fisher House Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, using donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members as well as the Hotels For Heroes program, which uses donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge. Since it’s inception, Fisher House Foundation has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $360 million in out-of-pocket costs for lodging and transportation, offering over 65,000 airline tickets provided by Hero Miles which are worth nearly $100 million. The Grand Opening of Chocolate Works Plainview gives everyone the opportunity to contribute to this amazing program and honor our military and veterans.
The perfect way to spend a Saturday for both adults and kids, the grand opening will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday November 11th. From 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Oompa Loompas and the Jelly Belly mascot are making an appearance to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. Then at 1:00 p.m. the ribbon cutting will start, with Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor – Joe Saladino as well as a representative from the Fisher House Foundation. From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 98.3 KJoy will be live on-air streaming the event.
