The Fisher House Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, using donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members as well as the Hotels For Heroes program, which uses donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge. Since it’s inception, Fisher House Foundation has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $360 million in out-of-pocket costs for lodging and transportation, offering over 65,000 airline tickets provided by Hero Miles which are worth nearly $100 million. The Grand Opening of Chocolate Works Plainview gives everyone the opportunity to contribute to this amazing program and honor our military and veterans.
